Donald Maurice is a Principal of Maurice Wutscher LLP. He focuses his practice primarily on
representing consumer and commercial financial services companies, successfully litigating for the
industry in federal and state courts in both trials and appeals. He has provided defense
in both bench and jury trials in individual and class action claims brought under federal and
state consumer protection laws. He also assists clients before state and federal regulators and attorneys
general. He provides advice and counsel to attorneys in matters of professional responsibility
and attorney ethics.
Don has served as counsel for amicus curiae, in the United States Supreme Court and in
federal Circuit Courts of Appeals, and frequently speaks and publishes on topics relevant
to the financial services industry. Don regularly writes and speaks on consumer financial services
law and is editor of The Consumer Financial Services Blog (cfsblog.com). He earned his
Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a Bachelor of
Arts from Boston University.
