Therese ("Terry") G. Franzén co-founded Franzén and Salzano, PC in 1997. She retired from the firm in 2016 and is "Of Counsel" to the firm. Terry formerly managed the firm’s consumer financial services litigation and regulatory enforcement practice. In response to client requests, Terry co-founded ComplyShare, LLC, a mortgage quality control and compliance company in 2008.

Since retirement, Terry has spent her time volunteering at Lee Arrendale State Prison, a maximum security women’s prison, and working in Haiti with the non-profit she co-founded, Haiti Companions, Inc. www.haiticompanions.org

During her career, Terry was active with the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section. Terry was honored to receive the 2015 Section Chair’s Award for service to the Section and the Section’s 2018 Jean Allard Glass Cutter Award for a woman who has achieved high accomplishment in business law. Terry was a member of the Business Law Section’s Council, Chair of the Section’s Council Committee on Membership and Outreach, Chair of the Section’s Consumer Financial Services Committee, Chair of the Section’s In the Know webinar series and a member of the Section’s Publications Board.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Attorneys and served on the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law. She served as Counsel to the Georgia Real Estate Fraud Prevention and Awareness Coalition for many years and is a past President of the organization. Terry has been active in other trade associations including the Mortgage Bankers’ Association of America, the Georgia Association of Mortgage Bankers and the Atlanta Chapter, and the Georgia Independent Auto Dealers’ Association.

Terry graduated summa cum laude with honors from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in History, and from the University of Georgia School of Law. Prior to founding Franzén and Salzano, P.C., Terry served as General Counsel at Fleet Finance, and prior to that managed the Commercial Litigation Department at an Atlanta firm (now Lamberth, Cifelli, Ellis & Nason, PA), and spent two years as an assistant solicitor prosecuting primarily domestic violence cases in Cobb County, Georgia. Terry is admitted to practice in Georgia in the state, federal, and appellate courts.
