Allison Brown is the Deputy Assistant Director for Servicing within the
Office of Supervision Policy at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in
Washington, DC. The office ensures that policy decisions for supervision are
consistent with both the law and CFPB’s mission. Ms. Brown has
responsibility for the mortgage servicing, student loan servicing,
and auto loan servicing areas.
Ms. Brown has been with the CFPB since April of 2011. Before coming to
the CFPB, she was an attorney in the Division of Financial Practices at the
Federal Trade Commission for over 11 years. There, she worked on mortgage,
debt relief, and other consumer finance matters. Ms. Brown began her
career as a litigation associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in 1997.
