Robin Nunn serves as a leader of one of the country’s preeminent banking and consumer financial
services practices. She has significant experience representing financial service providers on complex
regulatory, enforcement, investigations, transactional issues and class actions.
Her practice focuses on counseling financial clients, as well as innovators in the digital space, in
meeting compliance obligations in a complex web of regulatory requirements. She brings to private
practice her prior experience working in-house for two of the largest financial services firms.
In addition to her trial practice in state and federal court, Ms. Nunn has represented a wide range
of financial institutions before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Department of Justice,
the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller
of the Currency, the Federal Trade Commission, and state agencies. She regularly speaks on various
topics such as new communication technologies, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, payments, artificial
intelligence, privacy, cybersecurity and big data.
Ms. Nunn has been honored for her efforts to promote diversity in the profession and protect
the rights of children, achieve racial justice, combat discriminatory policies, and eradicate systemic
racism. She is an active member of the firm’s Consumer Financial Services Group, Environmental,
Social, and Corporate Governance Group, FinTech Group, and Digital Assets Initiative. In 2021, she
received the Inspiring Fintech Leadership Award. She was recognized by The National Black Lawyers
as one of the Top 100 in 2020 and 2021 and MCCA as a Rising Star in 2018. In addition, in 2019,
Ms. Nunn was given the Diversity Journal’s Women Worth Watching Award and The Network Journal’s
25 Influential Black Women in Business Award. She holds a J.D. from The University of Chicago
Law School and B.A. from Dartmouth College.
