Ambrose joined Genesis from Softcard, where he was General Counsel of
the mobile payments platform owned by AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile USA.
Prior to joining Softcard, Ambrose was Partner-in-charge of BuckleySandler’s New York office.
His practice at BuckleySandler was focused on transactional and regulatory matters for
financial institutions.
Before joining BuckleySandler, Ambrose served in multiple general counsel roles at
GE Capital over 20 years, serving GE Capital’s U.S. and international consumer finance
and banking units. His experience at GE Capital included mergers and acquisitions,
portfolio acquisitions and divestitures, private label and co-brand card operating
and marketing agreements, joint ventures, commercial lending and restructuring
arrangements, and strategic servicing and outsourcing agreements, as well as compliance
and regulatory matters in the banking and consumer financial services arena. Prior to GE,
he was a corporate lawyer at Morgan, Lewis and Bockius and at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
Mr. Ambrose received his J.D. from Fordham University Law School and graduated from The
Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, where he received a B.S. Economics, cum laude.
