Stanley D. Mabbitt has extensive experience working in the consumer financial services industry from all vantage points—first as a government regulator working for the Federal Reserve; later as a law firm partner based in Washington, D.C., and in Phoenix; followed by six years as in-house counsel at one of the nation’s largest banks. A Founding Member of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers, Mr. Mabbitt has held several leadership positions on the American Bar Association’s Consumer Financial Services Committee, including Vice Chair of the Committee and Chair of the Truth-in-Lending Subcommittee.
Mr. Mabbitt counsels financial institutions on compliance with state and federal statutes and regulations, and implementation of lending and deposit programs, including residential mortgage, credit card, equity line, overdraft, and electronic fund transfer products. He also counsels mortgage bankers and brokers regarding compliance with state and federal statutes and regulations. He is a graduate of Occidental College and Loyola Law School Los Angeles.
