Attorney Andrea & Negroni specializes in financial services regulation and the law of residential mortgage lending. Lee retired from BuckleySandler in May 2015. She is Associate Adjunct Professor of Law at American University's Washington College of Law. Lee is the author of the 6-volume text, Residential Mortgage Lending: State Regulation Manual (Thomson Reuters/West Publishing), and co-author of Introduction to Mortgage Lending, Second and Third Editions (American Bankers Association). She has written dozens of articles on consumer credit regulation, which are published in a variety of professional publications. She was previously associate general counsel of Prudential Home Mortgage Company and Executive Vice President at Skyline Financial Services Corporation, a real estate asset management firm. Lee is a former board member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Metropolitan Washington. She is approved as a Dispute Resolution Arbitrator by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and is a Virginia-licensed real estate agent.
Before joining BuckleySandler in 2000, Lee was a partner with Goodwin Procter. Earlier, she was the founder and managing partner of Negroni & Kromer, PLLC, a Washington DC law firm representing financial institutions, including mortgage and real estate companies, Internet-based loan originators, and consumer credit lenders. Lee received the Distinguished Service Award in 1997 from the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators, and the 2012 Vincent Reed Award from the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. Lee graduated from Columbia University School of Law and Emory University.
