Mobilization for Justice

Carolyn is the Director of Litigation for Economic Justice at Mobilization for Justice (MFJ), a civil legal services organization that provides advice, counsel, and representation to New Yorkers with low incomes. She supervises MFJ’s Consumer Rights Project; engages in pro-consumer policy advocacy; has drafted amicus curiae briefs; has co-authored reports concerning the debt collection industry; has been quoted in media outlets; and she regularly conducts trainings and serves on panels related to consumer law. Carolyn was an adjunct professor at Cardozo Law School for 12 years, where she taught a consumer externship seminar; she is a former co-chair of the board of the National Association of Consumer Advocates; she co-chairs the New York City Consumer Advocates Taskforce; and is currently a fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services.
