David is a nationally recognized consumer financial services law litigator with 30+ years of experience in government, plaintiff-side, and Am Law100 and 200 defense-side law firms.

A Fellow since 2014 and former Regent of the College (2019-2023), David also has received recognitions by Best Lawyers® for Financial Services Regulation Law (2021-2023, 2026) and Lawyer of the Year for Financial Services Regulation Law (2023) and is a longstanding Member of the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law. He has spoken as a thought leader on consumer finance law and litigation topics at dozens of prestigious national events and conferences hosted by the American Bar Association, American Conference Institute, Annual Source Media, Cambridge Forums, The Knowledge Congress, USFN, and others, and is widely published.

David is currently serving as Assistant Attorney General, Managing Attorney, Consumer Protection Division, of the Texas Attorney General’s Office where he leads a team of attorneys in managing and litigating the highest profile consumer protection cases in the Office.
