Christian W. Hancock

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP

Christy’s practice is dedicated to financial services regulatory compliance. Her work with mortgage servicing and other financial institution clients has given her a broad base of knowledge regarding laws affecting the mortgage servicing business, including bankruptcy and foreclosure best practices, HELOC compliance, payment application, correspondence requirements, allowable fees, loan modifications, escrow requirements, and property preservation. In recent years, her practice has involved advising large financial institutions on compliance management systems, government settlements and consent order implementation, mortgage servicing state law issues, bankruptcy-related regulatory matters, and large-scale remediation projects.

She is one of the co-leaders of the Banking & Financial Services practice group at Bradley and is also the co-chair of the Home Equity Lending Team and the Bankruptcy Compliance & Consumer Bankruptcy Litigation Team. A frequent speaker and presenter at industry conferences, she is also a regular instructor for the Mortgage Bankers Association’s School of Mortgage Banking I and II. She also organizes and hosts the Bradley Compliance Roundtable, a monthly virtual meeting for the firm’s financial services clients discussing a variety of issues, including secured lending and servicing, as well as new trends and nuances of consumer laws.
