Mr. Lynyak's practice focuses on the state and federal regulation of financial intermediaries, including commercial banks, savings associations, and their holding companies, affiliates and subsidiaries. He is a nationally recognized expert on a range of legal issues affecting financial service companies, including the Bank Holding Company Act, the Savings and Loan Holding Company Act, the National Bank Act, the Home Owners' Loan Act, the Federal Deposit Insurance Act, and their state counterparts. Among other things, he advises clients on retail and operational issues including mortgage lending, enforcement actions, fair lending concerns, federal preemption and strategic planning matters.
Mr. Lynyak regularly represents clients before federal banking agencies, including the Federal Reserve Board, the FDIC, the OCC, the OTS, the FTC, and the SEC.
