Lynette Hotchkiss is Senior Legal Counsel at LendingPad, where she uses her legal knowledge and experience in developing the ComplyIO product.
Before joining LendingPad, she was a member of McGlinchey Stafford, PLLC. Prior to joining McGlinchey Stafford, she served as General Counsel of Rabobank, N.A., after having served as Associate General Counsel at the bank. Over her legal career, Lynette has held many roles within the financial institutions arena, including as a member of the Legal Department at OneWest Bank, N.A., as an attorney in the Financial Practices Division of the Federal Trade Commission, as a Partner at Hudson Cook LLP, as head of the Legal Team at Mavent Inc., and as lead Lending Products Counsel at CFI ProServices Inc.
For much of her legal career, Lynette has used her consumer financial services knowledge and experience to build compliance tools to help financial institutions comply with the complex array of federal and state requirements, first acting as the lead compliance attorney at CFI ProServices Inc. (now Finastra) to develop the Laser Pro® loan documentation system and later leading the legal team at Mavent Inc. (now part of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc.) to develop the Mavent Expert System, an automated compliance system for mortgage origination.
Lynette has been active in the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section for several years, having served in many leadership roles in the Consumer Financial Services Committee, including as Vice-Chair of the Committee. She is active in the ABA publications world, co-editing both the 2018 Supplement and the 2023 revision of the ABA's book The Law of Truth-in-Lending, including updating the chapter on “Transactions Involving Real Estate and Dwellings.” She also co-authored “The Truth in Lending Act and Dwelling-Secured Lending” subchapter of the ABA’s book entitled Consumer Finance Law. Lynette currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the ABA Business Law Section’s Business Law Today online magazine. In 2025, she was the recipient of ABA Business Law Section Chair’s Award.
Lynette also serves as the Chair of the Writing Competition Committee for the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers. She also is a member of the Governing Committee for the Conference on Consumer Finance Law.
