Steven L. Saxe

Now retired, Mr. Saxe specialized in the law of banking and related financial matters, representing and advising independent community, regional and money center banks, retailers and others throughout and beyond California.

Mr. Saxe's primary practice emphasized consumer finance and financial products, including all forms of consumer credit, as well as deposit and related payment system mechanisms. Following law school, Mr. Saxe served as clerk to Justice Norman Elkington on the California Court of Appeal, and then worked for the Bank of America, where he became the primary legal counselor to its consumer installment lending and credit card departments. He practiced as a partner in the firm now known as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, and as principal in his small law firm that served as a legal department to numerous financial institutions and as an advisor to other banks and companies who have inside counsel.

Mr. Saxe is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of San Francisco Law School.
